Hoje tivemos um dia um pouco diferente. Fomos
finalmente conhecer a academia de ginástica a qual deveremos frequentar
diariamente. Pois é, além de todo o trabalho diário, ao final do dia teremos
que fazer atividade física. As bolsas que já estavam pesadas, a partir de agora
deverão conter ainda a roupa de ginástica, inclusive o tênis. Bem, essa é a
parte ruim da história, mas teremos diversos benefícios com essa iniciativa,
começando por mim que já estou sedentária há bastante tempo. Quem sabe ao
voltar ao Brasil eu mantenho a rotina e largo de vez o sedentarismo....
As academias aqui são esplendidas! Só ao
conhecer já pude perceber pelo menos dois aparelhos de musculação que nunca
tinha visto em qualquer lugar no Brasil. A segunda academia que conhecemos
tinha um parque aquático imenso, onde uma das piscinas fica liberada
permanentemente para que mamães e bebês a utilizem livremente. Achei o Máximo.
Além disso, a academia possui uma creche onde os pais podem deixar seus filhos
enquanto fazem sua atividade física. Sauna, quadras esportivas, salas de dança,
ginástica, em fim, enormes.
Após a escolha da academia, fomos almoçar
no"The Hub". Um espaço amplo, limpo, todo mobiliado, com área de
descanso para os estudantes, inimaginável enquanto não se conhece. Super
agradável e aconchegante.
Aproveitamos o almoço para conversar um pouco mais com o Luiz, que chegou ontem. Outros aproveitaram para ir a "poundland" (loja onde tudo custa 1 pound ou menos) comprar umas coisinhas.

Às 14h tínhamos o induction agendado (matricula
e apresentação dos aparelhos na sala de musculação). E vamos nós... O professor
parecia o Ligeirinho fazendo um tour mais aprofundado pela sala de musculação,
mostrando o objetivo de cada aparelho, como regular, ligar, ajustar e tudo
mais... Ele terminou o induction suando visivelmente. No entanto, já era hora
de voltarmos ao trabalho. Correria para trocar de roupa e voltar à
universidade. E lá vamos nós.... Mais uma tarde de muito trabalho e muito
aprendizado. Ao final da tarde tivemos a apresentação do Luiz com o trabalho
que foi enviado para o EASM e do prof. Mataruna explicando a planilha para a
prestação de contas. Já a noite foi ocupada com reuniões individuais com o
prof. Mataruna, finalizamos nosso dia no escritório às 22:30h. E vamos em
frente....

09/08/2014 - Knowing the gym

Today we had a slightly
different day. Finally we went to the gym to which we must attend daily. Well,
besides all the daily work, the end of the day we will have to do physical
activity. The bags that were already heavy, from now will still contain gym clothes,
including shoes. Well, that's the bad part of the story, but we have many
benefits from this initiative, starting with me I'm already sedentary for a
long time. Who knows returning to Brazil I keep the routine and I stop being
sedentary....
The gyms here are
splendid! Just to know I could already see at least two weight machines that
had never seen anywhere in Brazil. The second academy that we know had a huge
water park where one of the pools is released continuously for moms and babies
to use freely. Found the maximum. Also, the gym has a crèche where parents can
leave their children while they do physical activity. Sauna, sports courts,
dance halls, gym, in order, huge.
After choosing the gym,
we went to lunch at "The Hub". A large, clean room all furnished with
lounging area for students, unimaginable while not known. Super nice and cozy.
We take lunch to talk
some more with Luiz, who arrived yesterday. Others used to go to
"Poundland" (store where everything costs 1 pound or less) buy a few
things.
14h had a scheduled
induction (registration and submission of equipment in the weight room). And
let us ... The teacher seemed the Ligeirinho doing a more thorough tour of the
weight room, showing the purpose of each device, such as regular, connect,
adjust and everything ... He finished the induction visibly sweating. However,
it was time to get back to work. Rush to change clothes and go back to
university. Here we go .... One more afternoon of hard work and a lot of
learning. By late afternoon we had the presentation of Luiz with the work that
was sent to the EASM and prof. Mataruna explaining the spreadsheet to
accountability. Already the night was occupied with individual meetings with
prof. Mataruna, we finished our day at the office at 22: 30. And let's go
ahead...
