Finalmente, estou em Coventry!

Já estava na etapa final da viagem para chegar a Coventry. Havia saído de Belém no dia anterior, em direção a Lisboa, onde peguei conexão para Londres. Do aeroporto de Heathrow, segui de ônibus para a cidade onde os amigos do projeto Carnival já estavam me esperando.Mal podia esperar para chegar e conhecer todos aqueles com quem eu vinha falando pela Internet. Logo fomos fazer um lanche até a hora do outro colega, o Silvestre, chegar. Depois conheci rapidamente o centro da cidade e deu para ter uma ideia de onde as coisas estão localizadas.  Esta é a terceira vez que venho ao Reino Unido, mas nunca havia estado em Coventry. Já tinha lido bastante sobre a cidade e as suas curiosidades, e uma das coisas que me chamou atenção é o fato de ela ser conhecida pela universidade. De fato, isto é verdade. Comprovei a informação ainda em Londres, quando, ao pedir uma passagem para Coventry, a funcionária da National Express me perguntou se eu era estudante!Embora tenha chegado no sábado, já no fim da tarde, já tenho certeza que Coventry tem muito o que oferecer e surpreender a todos os que aqui estão. E espero contar sobre todas essas surpresas nas minhas próximas publicações.

Finally, I arrived in Coventry!

I was in the final stage of the journey to get to Coventry. I had left Belém the day before heading to Lisbon, where I did connection to London. From Heathrow Airport I followed by bus to the city where my friends from Carnival project were already waiting for me.I could not wait to get to know them, whom I had been talking over the Internet. Soon we were making a snack until the hour of another colleague, Silvestre, arrive. After quickly look around the city centre, I got an idea of where things are located.This is the third time I have come to the UK, but I had never been to Coventry. I had read a lot about the city and its curiosities, and one of the things that caught my attention is the fact that it is known by the university. In fact, this is true. I checked this information whilst I was in London, where the attendant of the National Express asked me if I was a student!Although I have arrived on Saturday, at the end of the afternoon, I'm sure that Coventry has much more to offer and surprised all who are here. And I hope to tell you about all these surprises in my next posts.
