 O início do desafio por Pedro Carvalho

Olá pessoal, o meu desafio no Carnival Project e no LONRIO começou com algumas conexões de vôo antes da minha chegada à Birmingham. Saí do Rio para São Paulo às 14:38 do dia 04 de setembro (ontem), de São Paulo segui para Amsterdã, onde fui abordado e sofri um mini interrogatório de uma policial holandesa e após responder a todas as perguntas calmamente, segui para Birmingham. A chegada a foi às 16:35, hora local. Em Birmingham foi hora de passar pelo serviço de imigração. Um senhor me atendeu, me fez inúmeras perguntas e eu respondi uma a uma tentando transmitir tranqüilidade ao meu interlocutor. Por conta de um erro de cálculo meu (aos marinheiros de primeira viagem não cometam o erro de despachar a carta convite dentro de sua bagagem de porão), acreditei que pegaria a mala antes de passar pela imigração. O que acontece é o contrário. O senhor do controle de entrada no país me acompanhou para que pegasse minha mala e enfim lhe apresentasse a carta convite da universidade. Feito isso, ele depois de muito pensar, entrar e sair de uma sala privada por duas vezes finalmente liberou minha entrada no Reino Unido. Deixei o aeroporto e rumei para Coventry de trem. Aqui fui recebido pelos companheiros Marcelo Haiachi e Marco Mieres que me levaram ao Ashleigh House, acomodação dos mesmos, lá encontramos as companheiras Roberta Kumakura e Rosely Kumakura. Seguimos para a minha acomodação que está situada em um dos melhores lugares de Coventry. Por fim, encontramos mais duas parceiras do projeto: Débora Guerra e Andressa Guimarães, além do nosso líder, o Dr. Leonardo Mataruna.
Essa foi a minha chegada ao Reino Unido, bem como ao Carnival Project é ao LonRio!
