Chegou o grande dia
Após quase um mês esperando ansiosamente por este momento,
chegou o grande dia. Saí de São Paulo com 3 malas, alguns medos e uma grande
certeza. O medo do novo, de minha primeira experiencia no meio acadêmico e o
medo de falhar convivem com a certeza de que darei o meu melhor para que este
projeto seja um sucesso para todos.
A viagem foi tranquila e com direito a uma parada de 5 horas
na Alemanha, em Munique. Ao desembarcar em Birminghan fiquei preocupada com a
dificuldade de carregar as 3 malas sozinha no trem, mas logo de cara fui
surpreendida com a hospitalidade dos britanicos que me auxiliaram nesta missão.
Cheguei em Coventry exausta mas tive uma injeção de ânimo
com a boa recepção da Roberta e da Juju e, na sequência, dos demais colegas de
projeto que já estavam em campo. Fiquei bem impressionada com a acomodação e
com as demais instalações que pude conhecer. Estou adorando tudo e se não fosse
pela necessidade de me enxugar no pano de pia estaria tudo perfeito. ;)
Agora, é mergulhar de cabeça no trabalho e começar a
produzir.
The big day
has come
After
almost a month waiting eagerly for this moment, the big day has come. I left
São Paulo with three heavy bags, some fears and a great certainty. The fear of
the new, as this is my first experience in academic terms, and the fear of
failure come together with the certainty that I will do my best to make this
project a success for everyone involved.
The trip
was ok and with a connection break of 5 hours in Munich, Germany. Upon landing
in Birmingham I got worried about the difficulty of carrying the 3 bags alone
on the train, but right away I was surprised by the hospitality of the British
people who kindly helped me in this “mission”.
I arrived
in Coventry exhausted but had a boost of energy with the good reception
provided by Roberta and Juju and, subsequently, the other colleagues, members
of Carnival project. I was very well impressed with the accommodation and other
facilities that I had the chance to visit or pass by. So far, I'm loving
everything and if it was not for the need of wiping myself with the kitchen
cloth, everything would be perfect. ;)
Now it is
time to dive headlong into work and start producing.
