Dia 06/09/2014 – Sábado, dia de história...

Após o já conhecido café
da manhã, nos encontramos no centro da cidade novamente. Hoje a proposta do dia
era um passeio mais cultural, e assim fomos. Tivemos como guia o ilustríssimo
Prof. Mataruna que trouxe diversas informações sobre monumentos e contruções
que visitamos. Vimos a Lady Godiva na Praça central de Coventry e quase todos
do grupo quiseram filmá-la. Segundo Dr. Mataruna, Lady Godiva ficou penalizada
com a situação do povo de Coventry, que sofria devido aos altos impostos
estabelecidos por seu marido, prefeito da cidade. Dessa forma, ela, em
protesto, cavalgou nua pelas ruas. Ninguém teve coragem de olhá-la, somente uma
pessoa, que ficou cega por consequência. Segundo ele, nada se tem para
comprovar, trata-se de uma lenda urbana. Nos desafiou, enquanto um “bom
inglês”, a encontrar durante o nosso dia, o local onde fica a descrição da Lady
Godiva na cidade, mas acabou que, ao fim do dia, não voltamos a tocar no
assunto. Nos mostrou algumas construções históricas e nos levou para almoçar em
uma delas.
Nosso almoço foi, na
verdade, bem interessante. Um lugar com opções para todos os gostos e a
experiência de pedir um prato sem saber exatamente o que terá que comer, pois
mesmo com a descrição do mesmo, é uma experiência ainda não vivenciada. E vamos
almoçar, não exatamente aquilo que pretendia, mas... é o que temos...
Após o almoço, mais
caminhada e agora, um pouquinho de compras. Fomos atrás daquilo que estávamos
precisando. Para uns, casaco, para outros adaptador, fonte universal, etc.
caminhamos por todo o centro e paramos para tomar um café. Decidimos então que
deveríamos aproveitar o fim do dia para organizarmos as pastas, atualizarmos o
blog e rever algumas questões do projeto. Assim sendo, seguimos para o
escritório. Missão cumprida, é hora de descansar, afinal amanhã tem mais.... E vamos em frente... #CARNIVALPROJECT,

Saturday, day of history ...

After the familiar
breakfast, we met in the city center again. Today the proposal of the day was a
cultural break, and so we went. We had to guide the illustrious Prof. Mataruna
that brought various information about monuments and constructions we visited.
We saw Lady Godiva of Coventry Square in central and almost everyone in the
group wanted to film it. According to Dr. Mataruna, Lady Godiva was penalized
with the situation of the people of Coventry, which suffered due to high taxes
imposed by her husband, mayor of the city. Thus, it in protest, rode naked
through the streets. Nobody had the courage to face her, only a person who
became blind as a result. According to him, it has nothing to prove, it is an
urban legend. Challenged us as a "good English", to find during our
day, where is the description of Lady Godiva in the city, but just that at the
end of the day, we will no longer touch it. Showed us some historical buildings
and took us to lunch at one of them.
Our lunch was actually
pretty interesting. A place with options for all tastes and the experience of
ordering a dish without knowing exactly what we will eat, because even with the
description of it, is an experience not yet experienced. And let's have lunch,
not exactly what I wanted, but ... it is what we have ...
After lunch, more walking
and now, a little shopping. We followed what we needed. A jacket for some
people, to other, adapter, universal power, etc. we walked around the center
and we stopped for coffee. We decided that we should seize the end of the day
to organize folders, update the blog and review some design issues. Therefore,
we proceeded to the office. Mission accomplished, it's time to rest, at last,
tomorrow has more ....And let's go ahead... #CARNIVALPROJECT, #LONRIO, # LEGACIES4ALL.
